Thank you, 2015

Today's the last day of 2015, page 365 of 365. Can't believe today's the last day of me being 18 years old (though it isn't my official birthday yet, but still). Firstly, I would want to thank God of course, for having me for the past 18 years. Every year has been amazing, though there's definitely some bittersweet moments. In this period I've grown inside and out, hopefully to be a better person. I'm still learning everyday of course, from different people that I encounter. A lot more challenges are coming up my way while I grow up so am I ready to face the challenges? I don't know, but I hope I am.

To sum up what I think I've achieved this year,

1. Traveled twice to overseas without my parents!

Well, this might sound ordinary but it's definitely something I would want to record it down. It's my first time travelling to overseas without my parents. Therefore, I have to handle everything myself without seeking help from them. Also, I'm more than grateful to have the opportunity to travel to overseas, all thanks to my parents. *bows 90 degrees*

One of them will be my trip to Singapore with my besties!

And the second one will be travelling to Korea with my cousin :D

Plus, watching Show Me The Money concert all by myself !

2. Finally getting my driver license!

One thing that I finally accomplish this year, and as someone who considers as "grown up", is definitely getting a driver license. I admit that I don't really drive out often myself, plus I suck in parking HAHA oops :p but still, having a driver license enables me to go anywhere if I have a car :p And yep, I'm happy that I get to do it with my friends :D

3. Passed my theory and practical exam!

AND YAY, one of the biggest achievement this year is I'VE PASSED BOTH MY THEORY AND PRACTICAL EXAM. It still feels so surreal to me because the fact that I've failed my practical exam twice, and I retook the 3rd time this year. Not having high hopes but still practiced reallllyyy hard, so so so glad that all my hard work has paid off :')

And I can finally bid goodbye to theory because I don't have to do all the boring exercises anymore. I still remembered I often cried doing them cuz I feel so freaking stressed out LOL. The exam took me 3 hours and my brain and body was so damn worn out. Anyhow, still feeling really blessed that I finally could say that I've graduated from both grade 8 of theory and practical :'D

So I'm just trying to say that don't give up so easily cuz failure doesn't define you! :D

4. Being a student model for my college

This is quite embarrassed to say but I've been chosen as a student model for my college this year. And it was my first time ever photoshooting in a studio and having such heavy makeup. It was really fun albeit having an indescribable feeling. Seeing my face on some websites and brochures... idk what to feel but weird. HAHA. But still, I'm thankful for getting the opportunity to try out something that i've never done before!

So yeah, this is one of the screenshot I've got from the website!
Doesn't look like me but, oh well :>

5. Hosted an event as a member of Student Council

One thing that I am really proud of myself is that I actually hosted an event for my college, as a member of Student Council. It might seem insignificant for some but it really means a lot to me. Hosting TCSH Got Talent is one of the best and (not really bad) experience I've ever got this year. I always complained about how busy is it being a Student Council member, really, trust me, it's REALLY busy. We need to juggle up our numerous meetings and studies, and sometimes it really stressed me out. But in the end of the day, I got a lot of experiences that a non-SC member might not even encounter. So I'm also quite proud of myself for joining the team.

Also, credits goes out to Vivienne, for being my assistant throughout this journey. If it wasn't her assisting me, I wouldn't have succeed in hosting this event. So, thank you so much Viv!

Through this event, I've learned how to be responsible as a person, solve problems, and how to communicate with the judges, contestants, teachers in charge etc. It had helped me grown to someone that I've never imagined as me, myself. So thank you SC for giving me this opportunity as well.

From auditions, to quarter finals, semi finals and finally finals. Almost took me half a year time to complete this event. And I can finally say, I DID IT :'D

6. First (and might be my last) prom!

So I've attended my college's prom night in the end of November. It was even exciting for me as TCSH Got Talent's final was held in YEB. So amused and also satisfied with all the performances from the finalists! Although the food kinda sucks but still I had a great time with my classmates haha :p

All black for HS3 HAHAHA.

----------------------------------------

Well, so these are some of the events that I think it brought a rather big impact this year to me compared to many other small ones. So thankful that I've made through to the end of this year, let all the bygones be bygones and I'm gonna really look forward to the exciting things in the year 2016! On a side note, I actually have less than half a year for A Levels and I really hope that I can ace my exams *fingers crossed*. AS results is releasing in around 2 weeks time, pray hard that I can attain the results that I've always wanted.

All in all, happy new year to my friends and family!
