Choir competition with 5ARen!

Hello, I'm finally up here to blog after a loooong time, hahaha. And it's the last day of April already! Time flies O: Tomorrow's Labour Day and so we have a public holiday :D Yay, no school!! Anyway, just finished my 3 subjects' essay exam, I wasn't that confident with what I wrote, especially BM... Even I'm writing the essay, I have a really bad feeling that I wrote wrongly, maybe off topic. Hopefully not that "off"... ): Anyhow, what passed had passed, I can only pray hard that miracles happen on me. loll

I'm gonna blog about the interclass choir competition that was held few weeks ago! Should be blogging earlier but I was really busy everyday, too tired even though I wanna blog. I can't even cope up with my homework and exams, lol.

So that day, senior group's competition was from 4th to 6th period. Therefore, we had some time to practice in class. But beforehand, we prepared some "tools" to be worn on stage. Such as sunglasses for guys, and some ribbons, papers etc... Haha, we looked "grand" lollllll.

After recess, we were scheduled to go to the school's hall. My class is really lucky to be concluded in the finals, cuz we thought we wouldn't be selected, and furthermore, we didn't sing really well in the preliminary round.. But the pros being in the finals is that we can watch all those spectacular performances by the other classes! And that's what I'm really looking forward of.

 My last year of interclass choir competition is with 5ARen ;) 

My class sang the song title "A Bruno A Katy". It is a remix of Bruno Mars and Katy Perry's songs! Although we practiced hard, but I guess it wasn't that "hard" as other classes :P Although we didn't won any prizes, but the process of practicing will be memorable, right? Thankful to our conductor, Hway Ying who gave a lot of patience and endurance while conducting us. Being a conductor isn't that easy... And not to forget conductor's assistance, Mei Thung, and our pro pianist, Cheauwen as well!

It was indeed a great experience with 5ARen classmates in this choir competition! Hopefully we could make more and more memories although there's tons of exams coming soon... Play hard work hard ;) Good luck to everyone for the mid-terms that is round the corner!

A day in a life of a cabin crew

"If you have a dream, go get it!"

Last month when me, Elva and Madeline went to the education fair at KLCC, we came through this booth about aviation, cruises, hotel management and culinary arts. It's EduFly. Elva actually had that intention to be a cabin crew if she failed in her main dream, so we went into the booth to get some information about cabin crew.

Lucky us, EduFly has free course for grooming and deportment, or mobile apps development that costs RM688 for the package. Which is obvious enough which will we choose? haha, of course it's Grooming and Deportment! We are not that confident that we will attend their course cuz apparently we have school on Saturday right.... And then turns out we have no classes on Saturday cuz it's the Cheng Meng holiday!! Without hesitation, we confirmed our attendance with the people in charge.

We woke quite early in the morning cuz the course starts from 10am to 3pm. I kinda look forward for the course cuz I can finally learn how to makeup perhaps?

It's really cool cuz they have the built in airplane thing that make you feel like you're in the real airplane!! Too bad we didn't get to introduce how to use this and that, but we took photos hahaa..

The class started at 10am but we arrived 40 mins late lolll, cuz we can't find the place T_T Anyway when we went in the class, the teacher was explaining bout Grooming.

There was a part where the teacher was explaining bout Hair. She presented 2 kinds of hairs for us using the "victims", hahaha. Never judge any stewardess hair, cuz it takes some time to practice and achieve the tidy and neat look. I was really impressed. And guess what, there's a part where she explained bout girls with short hair (which is kinda my hair style, but the back part is a lil higher). She asked me to be her "model" cuz I have that kind of hairstyle hahaha.

It kinda failed cuz my hair is too lessssss... :( 

They sprayed a lil spray on my hair so it feels weird and I looked like a bimbo cuz my hair was not in great shape, lolol.

 After few hours of Grooming course, we had a short break and we continued with Deportment course. Deportment is kinda like about your posture, and it's super important cuz it could boosts your self-esteem, confidence, and how people think about you :) The teacher taught us the right posture, how to stand, how should we talk to people, how to pose infront of cameras. Wow, I learned so much although it was short. If I have the chance in the future, I would really love to try out their intensive course for a cabin crew!!

Anyway, before we end the Deportment course, we got a chance to have a "catwalk" on their special stage especially for their students lol. I was quite..... quite surprised myself that I'm not that scared or nervous. Does that implies that my confidence has been boost up?! Hahaha.

One of the staffs said something that is quite inspiring, "You have the chance to try today, why don't? If you don't try, you're gonna regret it." I'm reaaaaally glad I tried and I have no regrets regarding today's course lollll.

3 steps to walk like a cabin crew. 

1. Stand straight 

2. Chin slightly up

3. Take a deep breath

Smile, and show your best!!! 

We actually have the chance to walk twice. First, walk like a model. Second, walk like a stewardess with the luggage bag. Everytime when you saw stewardess holding their luggage bags in the airport and think, "wah, damn nice sia!!!!" Ok, now I finally know they got training for this.

Unexpectedly there's only one guy who attended the course haha. 

Before going home, we had a small assessment to see if we are qualified to become air stewardess or not. Fortunately, all 3 of us are qualified! :D We measured our weight and height, to check our BMI. Cuz apparently if you wanna be an air stewardess your BMI have to be below 22. They have very strict rules for being a qualified candidate. For girls, your height have to be at least 157cm, and for guys, at least 165cm. Every companies have different requirements though :D

Hello!!! I'm currently blogging at school, to spend my time usefully while I'm waiting for uncle to arrive, lol lol.

Anyway, yeh, it's April already man.. Time flies...... I realised I mentioned "time flies" for the Nth time in my every blog posts, lol. Many exams are coming soon, hopefully my school life will continue to be amazing :D Teacher told us that our mid term examination has moved forward for around 10+ days wtf =,= This is why I hate every after holiday cuz tons of pressure and exams are coming straight to us. Do you agree? lol.

But to the bright side, we have around 3 weeks of school holidays during the May/June holiday!!! I was so delighted upon hearing the news, cuz afterall the best thing is about holidays, and holidays only. LOL, hopefully teacher don't bluff us or else I really can jump down the building :(

Was planning to go for a vacation during the May school holiday, probably with friends. I know this is too early to plan but we are running out of time!!!! lollll. Hopefully our plan works lah :D Always wanted to try going for vacation with close friends and spend our time together, sounds good huh?

Btw, this Saturday our school has finally an off day cuz it's Cheng Meng day. yeaaay, and something exciting is happening on this Saturday, thanks God and school for the off day ;) Hopefully it will be fun as what I expected. Totally blogging about it after that. Stay tuned :D
