Happy Chinese New Year!

Hey guys, Happy Chinese New Year! Although this year's CNY we have a week off, but honestly, it was kind of like the shortest CNY holiday I've got up till now. Lol. We have only 4 days of CNY holidays, and when everyone is still having their holidays, we have to go to college... Ugh...

CNY this year is still the same. We went back to Penang for a few days cuz it's my dad's hometown, and my grandparents are living there. Glad to see everyone is healthy and good! Maybe the next time going back to Penang will be end of the year, or next year's CNY. Time flies, man. Everyone of us have grown up, so so much. Seeing the old photos hanging on the wall, wow. There was one big family photo taken when I was 8 years old, which was 10 years ago. And some during 2007, 2010... We have to update some new pics though!!! Hahaha.

Anyway, here are some photos taken during CNY. I didn't really have hashtag ootd photos posted on instagram, cuz honestly, I DON'T HAVE NEW CLOTHES. Idk if it's just me, or it's really hard to buy nice clothes nowadays... I just can't find pretty clothes T_T

Last Saturday, we went to celebrate Popo's birthday at some restaurant in the afternoon! The food was great, but everyone was damn full. lolol.

My sister, me and my cousin Jiawen!

Andddd, a group photo of my grandparents' grandchildren~
If I'm not mistaken, the 2 kids in front are their great grandchildren :D

Me and my cousin again!

That night, we went to watch Kingsman: The Secret Service at AEON Bukit Mertajam. The TGV Cinemas was newly opened, so it's quite nice! But there's so so so many people watching movies that night! Probably because it was New Year so everyone goes to watch movies?! Loll, anyway Kingsman is a damn great movie! I've heard a lot of good recommendations and I finally get to watch it. And I can say: JUST GO AND WATCH IF YOU HAVEN'T. lol.

Lastly, HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR again!
Loll, today's the 7th day of CNY, so go get more angpaos as you can before CNY ends! :3
Not to forget I'm getting my SPM result next Tuesday T_T
*shed tears of nervousness...*
Hopefully I can get good results!!
Wishing everyone all the best as well :)

Thanks for reading!
bye. x

#KOREA: Ski at Konjiam Ski Resort

Hello!! So after 1-2 months from my long awaited Korea trip, I decided to blog about my trip lolol. For some who don't know, I went to Korea last year December for 13 days 12 nights! Basically we went to stroll around Seoul, and went for ski which I will be blogging bout it today.

I planned to go for skiing on the 2nd day of our trip. Yep, so here we go!

Early in the morning, we went to a shop nearby our hostel which is located at Chungjeongno to have breakfast. It's called 할매순대국 (Halmae Sundaeguk). We didn't really ordered their "sundae" but we ordered another thing instead. BUT IT'S FREAKING YUMMY I AIN'T JOKING. Imagine slurping the hot soup under a freaking cold weather. Oh shiz this is so damn good.

Omg I freaking miss this right now :(

Anyway, after our breakfast, we went back to our hostel to grab our luggages and off we go to some subway station to get our bus. I've booked our seats for the bus beforehand, which is free of charge because it's kind of like a service provided for tourists from the ski resort. Which I think is really nice of them.

The outdoor subway is no joke man, no joke. Cold as fcuk.

Anyway, our bus boarding time is at 11am or 11:30am I guess? BUT, freaking but. WE WERE LATE. I mean, we reached the destined station but I can't find the place where we are gonna board the bus. So I used my broken Korean to ask for the people there.. And they said they DON'T KNOW. Oh my god, we waited outside for almost an hour and I decided we shouldn't wait anymore longer or else we are gonna freeze till death.

I asked the person working at the gas station to help me, and HE IS SO HELPFUL! He basically called and asked and searched everything for me (like how to go to the ski resort and all). Wow, just wow. I hope I can see him again and thank him forever.

After loads and loads of obstacles (which I don't think I'm able to type everything here), we finally reached the ski resort when it's almost evening! CRAZY RIGHT? We took numerous of subways and buses, and taxis, and walked for so much, carrying heavy luggages... I almost cried but I did not because if I break down, no one is able to do it because none of my family members can speak Korean :( BUT, being really honest here is that MOST OF THE KOREANS ARE REALLY HELPFUL. Without their generous help, I don't think I'm able to reach the ski resort that day. T_T

And yeahhhhh, WE FINALLY REACHED THE SKI RESORT =D
*shed tears of joy*

Skadi Ski House :)

We didn't went for skiing on the first day because we reached rather late and everyone's freaking exhausted. Thanks God the resort is damn nice and comfy! Really liked it there, and I don't feel like going back to stay at the guesthouse lolol.

We went to have our lunch+dinner at Kraze Burgers.

Then, dinner at some restaurant that sells Japanese food.

That's all for our first day at the ski resort!

Then, on the 2nd day, we went to have our breakfast before heading to ski!

Had STEFF HOTDOGS which is really yummy!

OFF WE GO TO SKI!

There are a few different slopes for skiing, such as the beginner, beginner+intermediate, intermediate and of course the advanced slope. For me, I only went to the beginner one and beginner-intermediate slope HAHA. Because I ain't a pro :P Lucky me who didn't fall even once on the ski slope or else idk how to even stand up again hahah.

Anyway, quite disappointed because it didn't snowed in Korea that time :( And the snow is so hard and not puffy like marshmallows T_T So not nice to ski! Urghh.

Anyway, some photos I've taken at the top of the slope lolol.

Selfie on the way up to the beginner+intermediate slope! LOL BEAT THAT

The buildings over there are the resorts where I stayed ;)
Btw can you see how rough was the snow?!

A random shot which I particularly liked!

With my sister at the middle of the slope!

 Lol again.

This was the lift for the beginner slope :)

And a decent photo of me with my ski stuffs lolllll

After 4 long hours of skiing, my dad decided that we could just spend more of our money on eating more expensive food at a fancy restaurant.

Nothing can go wrong with PIZZA!

I'm so sorry if you're reading this at night! :D

And this was how the Skadi Ski House looked at night!
There's ticket office selling just beside, if you're staying in the resort, you can get a 30% discount which I only knew it on the 2nd day wtf. Anyway I just love how Korea pampers their tourists with loads of discounts!

-End of 2nd day in Ski Resort-

On our 3rd day of ski, we woke up early as usual, ate breakfast, and went to buy our tickets again.

I decided to just rest for some while because the ski boots is just freaking painnnnn and my legs damn sore!

We went back to our room after that, and not long after, IT STARTED SNOWING!! It was the first time we've seen it snowing in Korea so we were so excited hahahaha

 Meet my cousie, Sinwei!

It's not obvious but you can see some snowflakes on our heads heheh :3

And believe it or not I just wore a tee and a jacket and I ran downstairs to witness the snow wtf. Cold like efff.

-End of 3rd day in Ski resort-

So, the 4th and the last day in the ski resort, we didn't went to ski because we certainly don't wanna miss our bus at 2pm again lolol. Instead, we went strolling around the ski resort, and packed our luggages and get ready to wait for the bus!

随意拍lol

It took us around 1-2 hours to reach Seoul from the ski resort! So we kinda reached Seoul at around evening, then we unloaded our luggages at our guesthouse and headed out to have dinner at Ewha University Street! We should take a glimpse of the university because it's really popular but too bad the sky was quite dark already :( *leave my regrets to my next trip to Korea lolol*

We had our dinner at this restaurant called 셰프의 국수전 (Chef's Guksuchon) which we thought it would be probably quite awesome since there's some SBS posters on it hahah!

Their restaurant's famous beef

Some kind of mee which is spicy af

Everything is so yummy and I'm very satisfied with my dinner there haha! Anyway the price is reasonable as well because probably it's located at the University Street so they kinda have suitable prices for the students :D

Btw I've spotted something accidentally that there was a cafe located just upstairs of the restaurant! A tarot cards place where Adam couple (WGM season 2) came last time hahaha. Totally unexpected though!

So, yep here's the end of my ski experience and etc in one whole blogpost lol. Hope it isn't too long :x
Anyway, here are some photos I've taken of the ski resort! I really really fancy that place and I hope I can go back again :) Btw, most of the staffs in the resort could not speak in English because their visitors are mostly koreans as it's located quite near to Seoul :X It will be quite hard if you can't speak in Korean... Nevertheless I would say I had a pleasant stay in the resort, everything was so good, the staffs are so friendly as well!
